Activating Your License (Desktop) ​

What it is: The process of entering and activating your Draftworx Desktop license key so the software is fully operational on your computer.

What it's for ​

Every installation of Draftworx Desktop requires a valid license to run. You activate your license when you first install the software or after transferring a license from another computer. This unlocks full access to all features for your practice.

How to do it ​

Activate the License ​

  1. On the Client List screen, click the Draftworx icon and navigate to License Information.
  2. Enter your License Code in the field provided.
  3. Click Activate.
  4. Click OK to confirm.

Set Up Client File Locations After Activation ​

  1. Map your Server Clients location under Settings.
  2. If you copied local client files from a previous computer, save them under the default Local Clients path, or add a custom path in Settings.

Tip: The default Local Clients storage path is in the Public Documents folder under Data Prime > Draftworx > Clients. If you want a different location, update the path in Settings.
