Adding a Signature on the AFS (Desktop)

What it is: A way to insert a signature image onto a specific report inside the Annual Financial Statements, for example on the Directors' Report or the Auditor's Report.

What it's for

Some reports within the Annual Financial Statements need to carry a physical or scanned signature — typically a partner's or director's signature — before the document is issued. This feature lets you place a signature image precisely where it is needed on any individual report page. If you need directors to sign electronically rather than using a pre-scanned image, see Digisign (Desktop) instead.

How to do it

Inserting a signature image (DX172)

  1. Open the report you want to add a signature to.
  2. Go to Design in that report's toolbar.
  3. Select Image from the design options.
  4. Browse to the location of your signature image file, select it, and click Open. The image will appear at the top of the report.
  5. Click on the image and drag it to the correct position on the page (e.g. next to a signature line).
  6. To rotate the image, select Rotate 90. To resize it, drag the edges of the image inward or outward.
  7. To remove the image later, select it and press Backspace on your keyboard, then confirm by selecting Yes.
