Adding Additional Links on the School Framework (Desktop)

What it is: A guide explaining how to unlock the ability to add extra link numbers when a client file is set up on the School+ framework.

What it's for

The School+ template is a simplified reporting framework designed for schools. It intentionally omits some advanced features — including the ability to add extra link numbers. If your school client requires additional link categories to appear in the Annual Financial Statements, you first need to switch the client to the NPO+ framework, which supports the full range of link-number options.

How to do it

Switching to NPO+ to Enable Additional Links

1. Open the relevant client file in Draftworx Desktop.
2. Navigate to the framework-switching option (Framework Tools or Client Setup area).
3. Switch the framework from School+ to NPO+.
4. Once on NPO+, you can now add additional link numbers using the standard "Add Additional Link Numbers" process.
5. Go to Client Setup and update the descriptions under Naming Conventions as needed so that the correct labels appear on the Annual Financial Statements.

Tip: Switching to NPO+ is a one-way step for that file — confirm with the engagement team before making the switch.
