Content Selection (Desktop)

What it is: A feature that lets you choose which sheets (reports, notes, and supplementary pages) are included in or excluded from the printed or exported Annual Financial Statements.

What it's for

Not every sheet in a client file needs to appear in the final set of Annual Financial Statements. For example, a sole trader may not need a Statement of Changes in Equity, or a particular client may not need a detailed notes section for certain disclosures. The Content tab gives you a single place to switch sheets on or off without deleting them.

How to do it

Including and excluding sheets (DX078)

  1. Open the Annual Financial Statements and go to the Content tab.
  2. You will see a list of all available sheets:
    • Blue sheets are currently included in the AFS.
    • White sheets are currently excluded.
  3. To remove a sheet from the AFS, click on it while it is blue — it will turn white.
  4. To add a sheet to the AFS, click on it while it is white — it will turn blue.

Special note — Notes 4: This note (which covers changes in year end, prior period errors, new and revised standards, and changes in accounting policy) never appears automatically. You must manually add it through the Content tab whenever one of those situations applies.
