Appearance
Possible Critical Issues — Disclosure Update (Desktop)
What it is: A status indicator on a client file that flags when one or more compulsory framework disclosure updates have not yet been applied, and the steps to resolve it.
What it's for
Draftworx periodically releases updates to accounting and reporting framework templates (for example, when a standard is revised or a new disclosure requirement is introduced). Some of these updates are compulsory — they must be applied to ensure the AFS meets current requirements. When compulsory updates are pending, the Status screen shows a "Possible Critical Issues" warning. Clearing this warning is a compliance step, not just a software maintenance task.
How to do it
Resolve the Possible Critical Issues warning
- Open the client file and check the Status — a "Possible Critical Issues" message indicates unapplied compulsory updates.
- Navigate to Template Tools and select Disclosure Update.
- Review the list of updates. Select the compulsory updates (if in doubt, select all that are not yet greyed out).
- Click Apply All Selected Updates.
- Once complete, the "Possible Critical Issues" message is removed from the Status and the AFS reflects all current requirements.
Tip: Greyed-out updates have already been applied and do not need to be selected.
