Moving a Sheet in the AFS (Desktop)

What it is: A feature that lets you reorder the sheets (tabs) within the Annual Financial Statements workbook, with the Index page numbers updating automatically after a preview.

What it's for

The order of reports and notes in the AFS matters — certain frameworks and firm conventions require specific sequencing. When a sheet needs to be repositioned (e.g. moving a supplementary schedule before or after the main statements), the Move Sheet feature handles this without needing to rebuild the sheet from scratch.

How to do it

Move a sheet

  1. Navigate to the sheet you want to move and select Content.
  2. Choose Move Sheet Left or Move Sheet Right to shift the sheet one position at a time.
  3. If there are hidden sheets between positions, you may need to click Move Sheet Left/Right more than once to skip past them to the target position.
  4. Verify the new order in the Content panel.

Update page numbers

After moving a sheet, the Index will show "Preview to update" next to the affected page numbers. Run a Preview of the AFS to refresh the Index — page numbers will be recalculated automatically.
