Electronic Review - Adding a Note (Desktop)

What it is: The ability to attach a note (query, risk flag, or MLP) to a specific cell or working paper in Electronic Review, and to action or close that note through a structured workflow.

What it's for

During a review, the manager or partner may need to flag an issue, ask a question, or raise a risk on a specific item in the AFS or working papers. Notes make these queries visible to the assigned team member and track whether they have been actioned and closed, creating an auditable record of the review dialogue.

How to do it

Add a note from the AFS or working paper

  1. Select the relevant cell on the Annual Financial Statements or Working Paper.
  2. Select Add Note.
  3. Enter the note description.
  4. From the type drop-down, choose Note, Risk, or MLP.
  5. From the team member drop-down, assign the note to the relevant person.

Action a note

  1. Select the Information icon next to the note.
  2. The assigned team member can action the note and add comments in the dialog.
  3. Only a Manager or Partner can close the note.

Add or action a note from Electronic Review

  1. In Electronic Review, select the relevant cell under the Notes column.
  2. Action, add comments, or close as above.

Note: The Partner can delete Notes and Exceptions directly from the Electronic Review screen.
