Documents (Desktop)
What it is: A built-in library of standard legal and compliance documents — such as directors certificates, loan certificates, and shareholder minutes — that can be completed and linked directly to the Annual Financial Statements.
What it's for
The Documents section saves time by providing pre-formatted certificates and resolutions that firms commonly need alongside a set of AFS. Information entered in these documents flows automatically into the relevant notes (for example, directors certificate data populates the Related Parties Note), keeping the AFS consistent without re-keying data.
How to do it
Open and complete a document
- In the client file, navigate to the Documents section and select the relevant document (e.g. Directors Certificate, Loan Certificate, Shareholder Minutes).
- Use the dark blue editing cells to type in the required information.
- If you need additional certificates (e.g. more than one directors certificate), go to Content and enable the additional certificates from there.
- The details you entered will automatically appear in the corresponding note on the Annual Financial Statements (e.g. the Related Parties Note).
Tip: You can also import your own custom documents via Office Tools if the standard library does not cover a specific document type your firm needs.
