Appearance
Cover Page Setup (Cloud)
What it is: The settings for configuring the cover page of the Annual Financial Statements, including preparer and reviewer details, the engagement title, and a custom cover image.
What it's for
The cover page is the first page a reader sees. It identifies the entity, the type of report (audited, reviewed, or compiled), and the people responsible for preparing and reviewing it. A custom image can be added to give the document a professional, branded appearance.
How to do it
Setting Up Preparer and Reviewer Details (DC076)
- Open the AFS and navigate to the Cover Page sheet.
- At the bottom of the sheet, in the Settings for the above section, enter the preparer's and reviewer's details in the dark blue input cells.
- The title on the cover page changes automatically based on which report sheet is active in the Content Tab:
- Audited Financial Statements: the Audit report sheet must be active.
- Independently Reviewed Financial Statements: activate the Review report sheet and deactivate the Audit sheet.
- Unaudited/Compiled Financial Statements: deactivate both Audit and Review sheets, and activate the relevant compilation or officer sheet.
- Note for South African companies using IFRS or IFRS for SMEs: the title will always read "Unaudited Unreviewed Financial Statements" in line with the Companies Act (Section 29(1)(e)(i)(cc)).
