Replicating Cells (Desktop)

What it is: A tool that copies a cell edit made on one set of financial statements to the same cell across multiple client files that share the same reporting framework — in one action.

What it's for

When a firm uses a standard disclosure or text across many clients (e.g., an accounting policy or a director's note), editing each file individually is slow and error-prone. Replicating Cells lets you make the change once and push it to selected clients (or all clients on the same framework) instantly.

How to do it

Replicate a cell to other client files

  1. Edit the cell on the Annual Financial Statements.
  2. Navigate to Template Tools and select Replicate Cells.
  3. Use the Client List drop-down to choose the storage location of the target client files.
  4. Choose All Clients (same framework) or Selected Clients (specific files).
  5. If using Selected Clients, tick the relevant files.
  6. Select Replicate, then confirm with Yes.
