Show and Hide Rows on the AFS (Desktop)
What it is: A design feature that lets you control which rows appear (print) on the Annual Financial Statements by toggling their visibility through the Design tab.
What it's for
Not every row in the AFS template is relevant to every client. Hiding rows removes them from the printed output without deleting them — they can be shown again at any time. This keeps the statements clean and focused on the data that applies to the specific engagement.
How to do it
Identifying rows:
- Hidden rows: light blue background, "- (0)" in the grey column — will not print.
- Visible rows: white background, "1" in the grey column — will print.
Show (unhide) a row
- Select the hidden row or rows.
- Navigate to the Design Tab.
- Select Show Row. The rows will now be included when printing.
Hide a row
- Select the row you want to hide.
- Under the Design Tab, select Hide Row. The rows will be excluded from printing.
